Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center to Host 25th Annual Walk to Remember
Event Date, October 5th
Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center’s Perinatal Bereavement Support Program invites you to join in support of family and friends whose lives have been touched by the tragic loss of an unborn or newborn child at the Twenty-Fifth Annual Walk to Remember on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at the Municipal Parking Lot at Chestnut Avenue in Suffern, New York at 1:00 pm.
Held during National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, the event aims to increase the community’s understanding of the grief associated with the loss of an unborn or newborn child. The Walk to Remember will be ¾ of a mile, beginning at 1:30 pm sharp.
This annual memorial event allows parents, relatives and friends who have lost a child due to pregnancy complications, stillbirth, early infant loss or fetal abnormalities to walk in remembrance of their loved one. In addition to the walk, the day includes a ceremony featuring speakers, music, the memorial tree dedication, reading of the babies’ names, and a balloon release.
For additional information about the walk or to make a donation, contact Mary Radatovich, MSW or Lee DeNigris, BSW at (845) 368-5297.
